Cover Love gives me a chance to showcase covers that I love, and this week, I decided to feature the international cover of a book in my favorite series, The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer!

I’ve gone through all of the pretty international covers for Scarlet, and one of my favorites is the Italian version:

Scarlet Italian

I absolutely love this Italian cover, it’s so gorgeous and mysterious! I love the long red cape and all the movement it has as it blows in the wind and flows somewhere off the book cover. I love all the lighting and shadows in the forest too, from the light pouring in at the top to the shading around the tree trunks. The colors, the font, everything about this cover is beautiful! Seriously, if anyone is going to visit Italy, can you please pick me up a present? ;)

Of course, I can’t stop there, because I also have to share one of my favorite covers for Cinder, Cinder in Spanish:

Cinder Spanish

The gorgeous silver dress! The missing shoe! The red ribbon in the back! The glowing font!

Seriously, I could talk about this series all day (did I mention how excited I am to read Cress and to see what Cress‘ cover looks like?) and fill up my whole blog with all the international covers.

What do you think of the Lunar Chronicles international covers?

I love comments

  1. These covers are so beautiful!

  2. Merin says:

Ooh, I also love how you can see where Cinder’s arm and leg were replaced on that cover! Awesome! I do love the US covers a ton (Scarlet in particular was AMAZING) but I agree that these are pretty fabulous, too. And I agree about Cress! I can’t wait to see what they do with that one.

    • I love the US covers too (I agree, the red cape was so cool) but I wish I also had the international covers to add to my collection! I’m really curious about Cress. A satellite, spaceship, moon, or futuristic/technology tower, maybe?

I love both of these covers too! However, the Scarlet one doesn’t seem very representative of the book. But still, it’s gorgeous!

  4. lipsyy says:

    Woah…how beautiful are they!!!

  5. Emma says:

Oh, yes, the Italian version of Scarlet is definitely one of my favorite Lunar Chronicles’ covers. I’m also partial to the American Cinder cover.

    • The American covers are pretty too, I love the pops of red they have! :)

      • Emma says:

Oh, yes, I love how the pops of red connect the books. I’m trying to imagine Cress’s and Winter’s covers. My guess is Cress’s cover will feature a long braid with a red ribbon, and Winter’s will have a red apple.

Those are beautiful! I think the American covers fit the tone of the story better though. The Cinder cover is too glamorous and not enough to down to earth, while I think the scarlet one would fit something with more of a mystery better :)

    Woaaaaaah. *pets SCARLET cover*

  8. Book Blather says:

I LOVE the Italian cover for Scarlet, it looks so grown up!

  9. Sunny says:

LOVE. I can’t express how much I just adore these and now I wished that I those covers instead of my own.

  10. Candice says:

Okay, I LOVE the US covers of Cinder and Scarlet but these are so cool! So much prettier!

  11. I love the Spanish cover… it reflects Cinder perfectly and its super pretty

  12. Michelle says:

Both covers are really pretty. I love how I could instantly tell the Italian Scarlet book was just by looking at it. Not so much with the Spanish Cinder. (Her legs also creep me out a little in that one).

  13. Nikki says:

Omg, these are amazing. *_* I especially love that cover of Scarlet! So gorgeous.

  14. Holy cow that Scarlet cover is just so, so stunning. I’m at a loss for words. I love it!
