Cover Love: Favorite Fairy Tale Cover

Since it’s Fairy Tale February this month here in Readerland, I decided to have this Cover Love post feature one of my favorite fairy tale covers, Hero by Alethea Kontis:
I love how the girl on the cover gets to have both a sword and a pretty dress; after all, there should be no reason why a girl can’t have both! She’s obviously not the sit-and-wait-to-be-rescued type of girl, and that’s a fantastic message. I love book covers that feature girls taking action, but I’m also a sucker for colorful ballgowns on covers, so this cover combines the best of both worlds for me!

That cover is so pretty! I love when the colour green is used well.

The sword is a very nice touch and since the color teal keeps grabbing my eye, I like her dress too. It just makes it even better that she has both :) Great pick!

Yes, I like this one! It’s just as pretty as the first cover. I don’t know why, but I tend to love every cover from fairytale books. There is just something magical about them, with so many details :) And the dresses are always SO pretty, like Entwined <3
