I’m happy to announce that I’ve joined Classics Retold!

ClassicsRetold

Hosted by Alison @ The Cheap Reader (Children’s Classics Section), Alyssa @ Books Take You Places (Ancient to Renaissance Lit Classics Section), Brittany @ The Book Addicts’s Guide (Mythology Section), Charlene @ Bookish Whimsy (19th Century & Gothic Classics Section), and Wendy @ Excellent Library (American & Misc Section).

What is Classics Retold? In September, bloggers will be choosing a classic tale to read, then reading and watching retellings, spin-offs, sequels or adaptions of the classic, and writing reviews on them.

The classic I chose for this project was the Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Author Conan Doyle!

Besides the original classic, so far I’ve planned to read and review The Beekeeper’s Apprentice by Laurie R. King and The Case of the Missing Marquess (Enola Holmes Mysteries #1) by Nancy Springer. Do you have any Sherlock Holmes spinoffs/retellings/adaptions/sequels to recommend? If so, I’d love to hear them!

I love the Enola Holmes series! You will really enjoy them! I also suggest the BBC Sherlock for viewing… And, Secret Letters by Leah Scheier. It’s not so much an adaptation, but it has ties to Mr. Holmes. Can’t wait for your posts!

Can’t wait to read your posts about Sherlock Holmes. You could try watching the two movies played by Robert Downey, Jr. as well as the BBC’s Sherlock. ^_^
