A Week of Rapunzel is hosted by A Backwards Story to celebrate the release of Marissa Meyer’s Cress! You can see a schedule of events here, my previous Week of Rapunzel post here, and follow #WeekOfRapunzel (and of course #SaveCress) on Twitter for more!

I recently finished reading Cress and spoiler alert: I absolutely loved it (review to come soon)! Here are some Cress-inspired items I’ve searched for, that reminded me of the book, or that I think Cress herself might like if she were here today:

Being both intelligent and techy, as well as a dreamer and girly, I think Cress might like this bag made out of an old keyboard. (You can also find a keyboard clutch here) or a purple tech necklace:

For a look inspired by both the lovely ribbon and braid on the cover of Cress and Cress’ new short hair, you could try this ribbon halo tutorial here.

Given Cress’ love of singing and listening to opera, I thought that she might enjoy Rapunzel an Opera.

…while listening to the music through pretty headphones:

…or, as a nod to Thorne, through this speaker shaped like a spaceship:

And how cool is this space rocket USB port hub?

We may not have netscreens yet, but if Cress were here, I think she would own a tablet and would want a pretty cover for it:

Of course, there’s always Cress inspired nail art like I painted too:

Cress Nails

(I used the color Ultra Violet Femme from Ulta)

And I also think Cress might want to own a cute mini little tree:

Have you read Cress yet?

  1. I love posts like these!!! I love the keyboard purse!! The clutch is cute too… too bad it’s not pink as well or I might be buying it!! Your nails are so pretty!! I love when people paint nails to match books!! Very Cute!

  2. Those headphones are insanely cool! I love rhinestones and pink, so they look great. That purse is also so unique. Everything is the perfect match-up for Cress :)
